PEOPLE ASK ME WHY I TRAVEL BY ROCKING CHAIR.
I have always loved to travel. I have gone thousands of miles
by air, train, and the GREYHOUND BUS. Now I find, for the time being at least, there are reasons "in the flesh traveling" isn't as easy
as before..
I was thinking the mind is a wonderful thing; I can make trips "in
the mind" that will be remembered just the same as real life ones.
My first experiment was a trip to Norway. It lasted eleven days. I made up two wonderful ladies from South Dakota to be there with me. I told a mystery story. It began in the Grand Hotel in Oslo. On that trip we stayed at the most expensive hotels and ate at the most expensive restaurants. Because Monopoly money finances my trips.

We took a cruise

Next there was an exciting trip to Barrow, Alaska, and the Dalton Highway. It was a total change from the luxury I enjoyed in Norway.
I will never forget it!!

There are no paved roads in Barrow, no trees!! Neverthless, we had a wonderful and exciting time.

Our hotel in Barrow. Don't let its appearance fool you. We had a wonderful time with wonderful
pretend people and story. This trip is on the blog. Just roll down below the trip to Argentina and
VOILA!

Yesterday I posted the last entry for our most recent trip. which was to Argentina. It is the prominent trip on the blog, right now. I am still dreaming about it!
Now. My memory has recorded these trips along with my real live trips...and my brain doesn't know the difference.
YOU CAN DO IT TOO!! Find as much information as you can on the internet. Watch as many related videos as you can; and climb in there and experience what you see.
If I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT!!
HAPPY TRAILS!! Love, annie

I wrote this two years ago, so now some comments no longer apply. ab
ReplyDeleteWhen I mentioned "in the flesh traveling," of COURSE I should have mentioned the thousands of miles Ben, the boys, and I traveled by car. Ben really loved to drive!!! But I was surprised that he also enjoyed the pretend trips...which pleases me so much to remember. ab
